Hi, creative people of Hive! 😉 As I said yesterday, I started my own creative marathon. Probably, such a need arose after almost a year of break. I had a very good start before the war, but everything that happened after that pretty much killed my creativity. The biggest catastrophe is that during the occupation my eyesight deteriorated greatly. Probably a lot of stress was the reason for this. Now I seem to emerge from a muddy swamp, trying to return my life to a more or less normal course. But what is most interesting is that the war gave the next impetus to my creative development. Before the war, I was seriously engaged in Photoshop. As you know, Photoshop is a program that takes up a lot of space on your computer's hard drive. But then the problems with electricity began, because Russia constantly fired cruise missiles at our infrastructure. Oops... No electricity - no computer. What else do I have? I have a tablet. Its battery lasts for several hours, and I can also charge it from a power bank. But this does not solve the problem with Photoshop, this program is too big to download it on my tablet. Sometime before the war, my daughter advised me on the Procreate program. It is quite suitable for a tablet. But all the functionality of this program is intended for artists, not for photographers. That is, I installed the program, but almost did not use it. And then another event happened. My old battery, which served as a backup power source for the router, refused to work. At the time when there was no electricity, I also did not have the Internet. Another oops... So, I sit without light... an hour, two, three, six... Ok, when it's still day and light, I always have something to do. But in the evening... The decision came suddenly. It was not based on anything: I will learn to draw! And so I started my personal marathon during which I plan to draw a hundred pictures in Procreate. I think this will be my program for this year. So far I have made the first three pictures. The basis for them was photographs of my animals. Yes, at this stage I open a photo on my phone for now and draw something similar. Perhaps those of you who are professional artists will say that this is wrong. May be. But there are two "but". First, my goal now is to familiarize myself with the program. Second, I'm probably too old to go the classical route. Of course I watch tutorial videos and consult with my daughter who is a professional artist. And I try to develop my creativity. After all, what difference does it make which way I go? It doesn't hurt anyone, but it helps me. In addition, it will be quite interesting to compare my first and last works later. So, here is my third work - a portrait of my dog Donut.
I will also be grateful to you if you subscribe to my shelter's YouTube channel and like my videos, it will help my animals
[ ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0uF0CV1wtH1kdQ9W4bojmg)
