Hi Steemonians, especially those with the green fingers. 
We are trying to assist our grandparents in their little 'veggie patch', and there is a melon that is looking like it could be something good, but were not sure if its worthwhile nourishing and taking care of, since it is **taking over the whole garden!**

In little less than 3 weeks this plant has crept all over the veggie patch with a few melons here and there.
In Africa we have a wild melon called Maketaan, which is quite bitter to the taste (unless made into jam). Were not really interested in having this sort of floor space taken up on a Maketaan.

Please take note this is NOT a professional garden, but a little place that the folks are trying to get going in their retirement. 

So is there anyone that can assist? There are some more pics below to assist.
