Hi everybody!
I'm TrainWreck.  A middle aged father of three blue collar worker living in sunny subtropical North Texas (it's sleeting right now...).

About three years ago, in an attempt to avoid the onslaught of a midlife crisis, I started working on making movie prop replicas and costumes.  If it's not obvious my focus has been on Star Wars (that will be it's own blog post) but I'm hoping to branch out sooner than later into other films.

All of that being said the main focus of this blog will be on my amateurish attempts at prop making.  It will be "How To's" which inevitably will lead to "How To Fix's" (my name is TrainWreck after all).  I'll post mainly tutorials and general ramblings about costuming, prop building, and 3D printing as I learn and grow in this hobby.

I'm looking forward to starting this but for now please remember:  Never be afraid to fail!
