Earlier today I wrote a post about ETC getting officially listen on Coinbase Pro (for inbound transfers only for a 1 week or so until further liquidity is established).

What really got me excited was the last part of that post, here’s what they said:

We announced last month that we are exploring a number of other assets to add to the platform, and customers should expect to see similar announcements when we are exploring new assets to add to the platform." </blockquote>

~~If~~ When STEEM gets listed on Coinbase, I expect a lot of amazing stuff to happen for the blockchain, not just in terms of price, but there’s so much more to it than that.

<h3>What Being Listed on Coinbase Would Mean for Steem and STEEM:</h3>

Being listed on Coinbase will not only make the STEEM price rise significantly, it would also add a bunch of additional benefits for the Steem ecosystem:

STEEM would get a ton of more volume!

STEEM would be way easier for people to transfer into fiat and for people to transfer fiat into STEEM. This is especially important because of the nature of how most steemians interact with the blockchain.

A lot of us Steemians have begun to actually live off of the blockchain and take an income from it. At the very least, it would be fantastic to have a super easy way to cash out some earnings over time and then have an easy way to bring money back into STEEM. 

For me, right now it’s a huge hassle to buy STEEM. I have to buy another crypto like Ethereum and then send it to an exchange that has STEEM, then I have to buy STEEM and then send it to my Steem account. It would be great to just buy STEEM and instantly transfer to Steem.

Further than just price and liquidity and volume, we’ll also see a huge jump in recognition and new users.

I imagine that a sort of perpetual circle will amount with these qualities:
1. Previous or existing buyers/holders of STEEM will be buying more STEEM because it’s easier than ever with CB
2. New buyers will enter STEEM positions and then likely look into creating a Steem account and becoming a full-fledged Steemian
3. They will tell their friends and then send them a CB link to buy STEEM!
4. Those friends will join as new users and then tell their friends and so on
5. Plus, many of those new users may be entrepreneurs or content creators.. They can then build new apps for Steem as well as make content for Steem and thus, spread awareness even further

You know what these are called in the world of marketing and social media?

These are called aspects in the making for **The Network Effect**

The network effect will be one of Steem’s greatest assets in the climb to the top of the crypto mountain… 

The mountain that stretches all the way to the moon!

These are just some of the reasons why I think the best possible investment in a crypto - if you could only have 1 - is easily STEEM… It’s STEEM 1 million times over and that’s why I hold little other cryptos (comparative to my STEEM positions)…

Steem’s ecosystem is just so amazing and so vast already and it will just continue to build upon itself through the power of entrepreneurialism and cooperation. I know that the future of Steem is extremely bright and being here so early (right now) is the best time.

This is the best time to accumulate more STEEM POWER and build your account and thus, build your influence and power on the platform. SP is going to be one of the best assets over the coming years.
