PlayStation 3 Emulator Now Available in Google Play for Android Devices
While Sony failed hard with the PS Vita, that is not stopping fans from creating a portable PlayStation experience. Well, if you own a high-end Android device, that is, you can enjoy being in early on a viable PlayStation 3 emulator. For anyone new to emulation and the like, it is early it is not going to run just ANYTHING you throw at it and there will be hiccups. If you must have rock solid frame rates and better than original hardware resolutions to boot, you may want to sit this one out. For everyone else, time to experiment and figure out what is working and what is not.

<h2>What Else Are You Doing With a $1,000+ Phone?</h2>

Well, maybe not $1,000+ but the aPSe recommends a high-end processer and 12 gigs of RAM. If you can find those specifications cheap then congrats, you win the tech race today.

[PCMag.com has some more info on specs]( https://www.pcmag.com/news/feel-old-yet-you-can-now-emulate-ps3-games-on-android-phones), mentioning 6 gigs of RAM minimum and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+.

This is not the only method to play PlayStation 3 games on your Android device, but, [according to Engadget.com]( https://www.engadget.com/gaming/playstation/a-native-ps3-emulator-for-android-is-available-on-the-play-store-180849712.html), it is the first successfully listed on the Google Play store.

For techies, Engadget has a link to the Github page to access the source code for aPS3e.

<h2>What About the Games</h2>

I have looked but cannot find anywhere collecting a list of compatible games. This would be a great resource for someone to create if they had the hardware to create it, or simply the know how to collect the information.

[Free version on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aenu.aps3e) or grab the paid version (they are the same, this is more a donation to the creator) [here on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aenu.aps3e.premium).

I do not have the time nor the ability to manage such an undertaking or I would try.

I did find an interesting video, embedded above, showing off a few things about aPS3e for your convenience.)
