This is interesting news. Especially considering Capcom have yet to bring a Street Fighter game to Android, at least as there is at least one iPhone SF game. Tekken is arguably the leading competitor to the Street Fighter franchise. Earlier today, Bandai Namco announced Tekken Mobile is coming out for, well, mobile devices. Already soft launched in Canada (lucky bunch you are), Tekken Mobile will apparently be full of In App Purchases – a concern for old school gamers. Yes, that means it will be a freemium game but that is not necessarily something to fear. There are plenty of freemium games that are done in such a manner that if you ever hit a paywall that it is so far into the game that you are probably sick of it (such as Magikarp Jump by Nintendo).

There will reportedly be over 100 characters to collect with each having approximately 20 unique special moves. That is a TON of possibilities for you to get lost in. This is also probably where the IAP is going to come into play (presumably, some moves or characters will be kept behind a paywall, just because).

Bandai Namco are currently running pre-registration on Tekken Mobile. The more people that pre-register at the [Tekken Mobile site]( https://www.tekken-mobile.com/) the more loot that will be unlocked and given to early adopters. Could be a cool incentive to get more gamers pre-registering if the loot is good (and I don’t mean a color swapped outfit or different hairdo either).
