A little over a week ago, I detailed my curation strategy [here](https://www.proofofbrain.io/hive-150329/@trostparadox/re-vempromundo-qr3w7c).

That is, of course, subject to change. I have avoided using auto-voting, although I have enabled that option (I just set the threshold so high that it rarely, if ever, kicks in). I detailed some of my thoughts about auto-voting [here](https://peakd.com/curation/@trostparadox/improving-the-curation-rewards-process-via-a-significant-though-subtle-change-to-auto-voting) and [here](https://www.proofofbrain.io/curation/@trostparadox/guidance-needed-toward-development-of-a-good-bot-to-aid-account-holders-who-want-to-prioritize-ecosystem-growth-over-indi). I think it muddies the waters of manual curation and should be redirected. I am actively working on trying to figure out meaningful and beneficial ways to do that.

>It's good to distribute the token far and wide and have the tokens trickle back in for those who want to buy it on the market, while it isn't so great for the people who are wanting to grow their stake solely through posting and commenting on the front-end.

I am still using my ['POB manure'](https://www.proofofbrain.io/hive-150329/@trostparadox/qq4r0n#@trostparadox/qq4r0n) strategy to get the word out. I have become more proactive, though, in that I am trying to leave a reply whenever I use the manure-spreading tactic, so that the recipient knows to look in their wallet and has a quicker awareness of the new tribe.

That does not mean that a post outside the proofofbrain.io front-end gets special attention from me, only the comments (but I will reward the original post if I find it interesting or insightful or intriguing). Regarding external comments, I am targeting those whose usernames I don't recognize (in other words, I am trying to avoid double-spreading any manure).

I am giving special attention to meaningful convos on the POB front-end, by upvoting meaningful comments and the engagement they drive.

And, of course, I am looking for engaging content, both in terms of the original post and what a commenter might add to the original post. At least once (maybe more), I have intentionally upvoted a comment more than the original post because the value-added (imho) from the comment was higher.

So, to summarize, I am focusing quite a bit on engagement, both in terms of getting others who are active engagers in other communities to come check out POB and also rewarding those who are truly taking a 'community' approach within POB by engaging meaningfully with others.

Lastly, it is becoming more and more difficult to effectively curate as the volume of posts and authors increases, making it difficult to meaningfully segregate the slew of incoming posts. I wrote about the potential need for classification curators [here](https://www.proofofbrain.io/hive-150329/@trostparadox/proofofbrain-io-brings-to-light-the-potential-need-for-classification-curators) (not that that is an end-all or be-all solution -- just one idea to consider).

Well, actually, I do have one more thought. Although I appreciate the sentiment of @madstacks' [Daily Burn](https://www.proofofbrain.io/hive-150329/@madstacks/pob-burn-post-18-earn-curation-and-help-raise-stabilise-the-token-price-all-rewards-burnt) posts, I disagree with that approach, at least this early in the token distribution phase. It would be much better for those tokens to get into the hands of newbies to the tribe or to increase the stake of content providers.

I am in the process of crafting an alternative to the 'burn' approach that is similar in sentiment but overall more beneficial to the community (imho). Hopefully I can get that into a publishable form sometime soon.
