Football is indeed a beautiful game,  sometimes it can be cruel and other times it's just so therapeutic to the soul.  For twenty two men to keep chasing a ball for a common goal , you sure know there must be something interesting about the round leather game .

Playing football is what I enjoy spending my time doing especially on Saturday mornings.  Over the years it has turned into a traditon for me to play football with the guys every Saturday mornings.  This keeps my soul elated and alive always , I really can't just explain the feeling .

It's essential to keep one's body fit and active always . Everyone be it old and young should always endeavor to exercise our bodies as this keeps us very healthy . I exercise my body by doing my routine physical fitness exercises.  I engage myself in push-ups,  sit-ups as well as lifting of dumbbells. I do this regularly every morning as soon as I get off my bed . Today wasn't going to be an exception,  I made sure I completed my workout before heading to the Field . 

The football pitch is a 10 minutes drive from my house so I was able to get there before kickoff. Usually when I get on the pitch I jog round it for about 5-10 minutes . This helps to get my body ready and prepared for the incoming intense actions.  Football is a game of endurance and having much stamina as a player will always be an added advantage. 

It's usually a 5-aside set gameplay with 10 minutes interval. Teams are selected at random using a ballot system. This is fair and square as everyone gets a team to play in . I got selected in Team B which meant I got to play the first set(match) with team A. Today my team won two sets , drew two sets and lost one. I managed to get a goal in one of those , it wasn't really easy . 

After we played till our legs started getting weary and tired someone suggested we played a quick mini competition. He named it the "coke challenge" . So the idea was about two teams facing each other. The team that gets to score three goals first gets to win and has access to 5 chilled bottles of coke. This sounded quite fun and interesting and before you knew it everyone suddenly got active. 

So we were about 17 guys on the field of 
 play and we just needed only 10 players  for the coke challenge,  5 players aside . Teams were also selected at random using a ballot system. There were 10 rolled papers with letters A and B . The remaining 7 rolled papers were empty . So if you chose any of the empty rolled papers,  you don't get to partake in the coke challenge.  

I was opportuned to partake in the challenge with Team B but we lost 3-1 so we couldn't  get a chilled bottle of coke . Maybe next time , I guess we win some we lose some.
