So I have been on Steemit now for just over a year thanks to @titusfrost giving me the tip that its worth the time. Now I have by no means joined Steemit or Youtube with the intent of making money, in fact the purpose was to give an unbiased and critical view of the Geopolitical and alternative world in order to promote critical thinking to the next generation. As most of you probably know all too well, the reason for joining Steemit was to create a back up plan to the Orwellian censorship Youtube and Google have been ramping up to almost cutthroat levels. This has made reaching people harder and harder every day and making any kind of income to back the projects near null and void. From November of 2015 to Jan of 2018 on Youtube, I was able to gain over 25k Subscribers, 4 Million+ Views on 250 videos (many well over an hour long). This awesome achievement which is something that still humbles me, only managed thanks to demonetization and flat out censoring roughly $250 USD after it reached our account . (This is not counting the generous support through Paypal and Patreon)    Now, since August of 2016, I have made similar amount of posts gaining just 313 subscribers with a grand maximum of around 90 SDB (some of which was gifted) which was transferred to Bitcoin which with the increasing value earned us around $600 USD. Most of the SDB was earned in the last few months as well. Now here is the kicker, all I did for 95% of these posts was share the link to our Youtube videos or reuploaded them to Dtube for Blockchain safe keeping. A back up up plan with about 1% the effort made us more profit to put into our work than two years of hard work on youbtube.
