Hello wonderful Hive community, I’m a newbie here but already in love with the ecosystem. My name is Ubongabasi Ukpong, from Akwa-Ibom state in Nigeria. I have spent most of my years here in my state, from Nursery/Primary School to Secondary to the Higher institution, University of Uyo, where I studied English Education and earned a Second class degree. I spent some time teaching Nursery school pupils before stepping into the tech world.

I’m not a lover of so many but I love to explore exciting options. I love God and I love the concept of family. I believe that God created family to provide a sense of stability and connection that can make it easier to get through challenges, to have where to run to when the world generally is very noisy. So, it is necessary to make our homes peaceful and loving. I'm blessed with a husband and children that make life very beautiful for me.

Where I come from, “hospitality” is key, ranging from our foods to our manners to how we accommodate both strange and familiar people etc. I love our dishes, ever heard of Afang Soup? OMG! You could die to have a taste of it….. It is garnished with periwinkles, stock fish, dried fish, crayfish, kpomo, and mostly goat meat, with of course the vegetables required(Waterleaf and Afang leaf) . A plate of Afang is mostly enjoyed with Fufu or Garri, depending on individual choices, but I enjoy it with Fufu.

I have a thing for Music, I love singing. I find it very expressive and just move with the rhythm and lines of the song, and inevitably dance to it, if it requires that. I sing mostly in my church, and at Christmas carol events. I’d be thrilled to participate in the “Hive Open Mic” and have fun doing that.

This year 2022 has been really amazing for me, I got introduced to the Tech world, Web3 specifically, and the knowledge has been very rewarding. I learnt about Cryptocurrency and Blockchain,  which I find very broad and equally amazing. I work with a Digital Marketing company, Chaindustry. We work with Web3 platforms to help grow their communities, and expose them to the larger world. I actually got introduced to Hive by my CEO, and today happens to be his birthday; Shout out to @empato365.
