Minnow of The Week: My journey thus far on Steemit
Hello everyone, here with you is @ufaz, I am Precious by name and I hail from Delta state in Nigerian, a native Urhobo, an ethnic group in Delta state. I am a lover of God, there is no better thing that I would love to live for in life than to live for Jesus. Also, I am a mechanical engineering student of the Federal University of Petroleum resources, effurun, (FUPRE) ,which is currently the only the petroleum university in my country and I'm now in my finals, soon to be graduating.

**My journey so far**
It's been a very tough time on steemit trying to draft out a good and lengthy post, I'll tell you the truth, it has been really tough, since I am not given to writing lengthy write-ups but doing short calculation based write-ups as a mechanical engineering student, but I am coping much easily now.
It's been a wonderful time spent here on steemit since I got registered a month plus ago, precisely by November when my old school mate @otemzi introduced me to this awesome platform even though I started using my blog by december. Since I registered , I have had some amazing moments and some sad ones.
**My amazing moments**; my first post which I did together with my sister @meritigbunu (who later got registered to the system) was quite encouraging and it gave me some hope that everything is going to go well for me on steemit. Also I have contested in several contest or in everyone win contests like the **santagroed scavengers hunt** organised by @aggroed during which 10 steemit was given to every participant, the weekly **my niche** contest organised by t@airhawk-project, the **amazing adjustment that has happened to me since I joint steemit** write up organized by @surpassinggoogle which I got an handsome upvote from; EPL match prediction organized by @acidyo and other amazing contests. Getting to see my post get good upvotes through these contest got me really amazed. Also, I will not fail to mention some generous steemians like @greenman that upvotes anyone's post or even upvote comments on their post generously even though these people are minnows.

My sad moments; there is nothing that gets me sad than seeing myself spent quality time posting something and watching it remain not upvoted before the sevsen days duration elapses, while I see others post just a picture or even post trivial things but still get good upvotes, though this has not reduced my expectation on steemit but it does make me sad, But I believed its gonna get better for me here on steemit.

**My goals in steemit**
My ultimate goal on steemit is to see my posts and write-ups be among trending posts. Also, since steemit is a platform where the voice of the community members counts, it is my goal is to be amongst one of the trending authors and active contributors on steemit. My focus on steemit this 2018 would be to build my steem power and make sure my upvotes put a smile on someone's face. I'm planning on investing every reward I get from a post back on improving my steemit power. Also, since I do not like wasting time on the internet, because I hardly spend time on Facebook, WhatsApp or any social Madia because I see them as a waste of time, so if I should spend my time on steemit, everything I do here should be worth the time. On this basis, I will make sure I spend my time to make qualify posts though most quality post by minnows are not upvoted, but I'll still make sure my posts comes out amongst trending posts.

**My value to this community**
I am all arouneder in life, I blog on anything that interests me, ranging from photography which recently captured my interest, blogging about life, music, gaming, on things related to my course of study (mechanical engineering), blogging on some softwares like Solidworks which are related to my course of study. Also, and most importantly, I'll be sharing my Christian faith here on steemit even as I get to know the more of my Lord, Jesus.
**Why I should win**
Winning this competition is not my ultimate goal for writing this post, but participating in the contest and having my voice heard on the steemit community is enough.

Thanks for taking out time to read my post, I really appreciate it. Until next time, I still remain your humble fellow steemian @ufaz.
