https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://i.imgur.com/xPt6riW.png

After battle I went searching and confirmed that it was announced in the latest **[Town hall](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-town-hall-summary-march-27th-2023)** along with other great new features.
https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://i.imgur.com/xPt6riW.png
The new rule called **Are You Not Entertained?** allows players to use a **Gladius** card in their compositions *(if using any of the summoners from **Conscript** https://i.imgur.com/P80y29l.png it will be possible to select 2 Gladius cards)*. It was expected that this rule would be added at some point, and now with it, active players of the **Brawls** will be more rewarded for their efforts in battling competitively for their guilds. Let's follow my first experience with this rule and reflect on the impacts it can have on a match. All **Gladius** cards become available with this rule and we know that many of them have superior stats and abilities when compared to other conventional cards. Having as a predominant characteristic the **Bloodlust** https://i.imgur.com/NkdHb8h.png ability these cards become very strong when they manage to cause the final damage to the enemy, so the idea is always to choose cards that are useful to serve as a major source of damage but that are able to survive long enough to take kills and activate their **Bloodlust** https://i.imgur.com/NkdHb8h.png. In my first match there were few elements available but among them was the most obvious card that every **Brawls** player ever dreams of being able to use in a ranked match.
Of course **Quora Towershead** is one of the most desirable options because of its great stats, the ability to do double damage and the great **Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_heal.png it possesses. In this battle both me and my opponent used this card however he chose to put her in the very first position, I consider this a mistake as she will be the focus of many attacks and it is possible that she will die without even being able to heal or get any culling with her **Bloodlust** https://i.imgur.com/NkdHb8h.png. Mine was strategically placed to stay alive as long as possible, increasing its chances of activating **Bloodlust** https://i.imgur.com/NkdHb8h.png and being able to carry the match. The combo of **Mycelic Slipspawn** and **Prismatic Energy** is great for dealing with high damage cards and the **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png can handle the magic damage that is caused by the **Explosive Weaponry** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a8/Combat-rule_Explosive-Weaponry.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210308205922 rule.

Exactly as I mentioned earlier the opponent's **Quora** died without being able to attack, this completely removed the advantage of **Are You Not Entertained?** https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/underlock/AJiywJpNx1QgC9nV4vA58sCE4dwc5BwDxVcis3g34boWf1tQyvUbFQqGRSXJFt7.png and unbalanced the match in my favor. Always ponder the importance of the **Gladius** card you are choosing and position it according to your strategy to keep it alive as long as possible and able to execute slaughters properly. Personally my initial strategy was to just keep **Quora Towershead** alive since she was only doing 1 damage per round and eventually by the time she went to first position the enemy would be weakened enough that she could no longer be eliminated. My strategy worked perfectly mainly because of **Prismatic Energy** which greatly mitigated the life of the opponent's magic cards and so my team eliminated almost all the enemy cards suffering only 1 cull *(and Quora managed to activate her **Bloodlust** https://i.imgur.com/NkdHb8h.png once)*.

Despite all the success there still remained one extremely dangerous opponent. The **Kron the Undying** at Level 3 is capable of eliminating an entire team with his combo of **Last Stand** https://i.imgur.com/jma006B.png + **Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_heal.png but with **Quora Towershead** doing 6 damage per round and healing 4 life in addition to other surviving cards damage, my team was able to easily overpower the legendary Kron.

If there was no **Are You Not Entertained?** https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/underlock/AJiywJpNx1QgC9nV4vA58sCE4dwc5BwDxVcis3g34boWf1tQyvUbFQqGRSXJFt7.png rule maybe the card that was in place of Quora would not be strong enough to face Kron and I would probably lose that battle. Fortunately this new rule has allowed me to use this amazing card **Gladius** and I hope to be able to try it more often in ranked matches until I finally reach level 5 with the summoner **Lobb Lowland** *(for now he is level 3 7/11 so there are 24 copies left to reach the goal)*. I really like this addition and think it will be a lot of fun and encourage players to fight in **Brawls** to get their own **Gladius** cards. I haven't had the luck to play it again yet but look forward to testing different compositions. Thank you so much to everyone who read this far, I hope you enjoyed it.
