When you step off the trail, and you sink past your waist. Had the perfect snow conditions to make anything off trail an instant disaster, as it was super warm, the deep snow had been heated by the sun and melting and had no structure to it at all, you just fell right through. It was pretty fun for a few pictures to just jump off trail and sink to your waist, but I can assure you it was not fun to crawl out of back to the packed foot trail just 1 meter over. haha  In the distance we saw this burnt forest section, taken by a recent fire.  Wondering into the burnt pines on this fire patch on the mountain.  And just another shot of some of the packed trail that was luckily just enough to hold our wait for the hike, as we didn't have snowshoes this time, luckily there were only a few small really deep sections on the hike.
