Hi Hiveans Family, I hope everyone is doing well and are safe at this point of time.

This is @uwanderer once again and I will be sharing with you one the secluded falls on Samboan. And it's name is Binalayan Falls.

Binalayan Falls is situated at Samboan. It is one of the prestine falls in Samboan such as Dao Falls and Aguinid Falls (I will be featuring in the next post).

Trivia Time
Binalayan derived its named as a home of the water diety. The native dwellers before believe the water deities along with the forest fairies entering the falls and reside peacefully in the falls. The old native dare not disturb the falls. If a native wish to take a bath within the falls they must toss a rock and pay their respect first prior to bathing and swimming.

In order to reach Binalayan Falls. We need to get a bus from metro Cebu and head down to Samboan Municipality. It will take us around 3-4 hours bus ride. I recommend we take the first trip bus which is 4 AM in order for us to enjoy the prestine falls all by ourselves.

Gentle Reminder

Around 10-11AM the falls gets crowded as locals and native samboan's visit the falls to cool down particularly during dry season. In order for us to solely enjoy the place let's visit the falls at the first ray of light of the sun.

The kind bus driver will drop us by in closly at the entry point of the falls. From the main road it will just take us around 5 minutes to reach the inner part lot of the falls.

The care taker of the falls will ask us to register and pay for the entrance fee which is 10-20 pesos. From the registration area we will trek on the dirt and rocky trail around 15-20 minutes (depending on your pacing) to reach the falls. Along the trek we will be shaded by large palm trees and lush vegetation before arriving at the falls.

We will ba passing through small streams as one of the waterways of the falls. As you submerge you feet you can feel is cold termerature which is soothing for a short trek.

We will be greeted by a relaxing view as part of the power section of the falls. What's unique about it is it has a swing you can use as you glide the shallow stream section.

As we head up we will be welcome by a mini falls along the stone staircase. Its feet is around 3-4 feet depending on the water level coming from the upper section of the falls which is the Binalayan Falls.

Binalayan Falls has a steep and slippery foot path where you can climb up and do a climb jumping but always make sure you jump in the middle part to avoid injuring your feet. Also the depth of the central part of the pool is around 7-8 feet so be sure you know how to swim up.

Another section of the falls is you can climb up underneath it and could take a peek from its open holes where you can also make it as a platform for cliff jumping.
