Hive's  [Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF)](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-decentralized-hive-fund-hive) is a proposal-based DPoS financing alternative. You may call it a "kind" of crowd funding mechanism of the Hive blockchain where users approve for a [proposal](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-proposal-hive) to receive funding by their [stake](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-staking)-based voting.  A submitted proposal gets funded if its detail get a nod form the Hive stakeholders. A good proposal is such  such that spells out clearly  how much $HBD is required each day as payment, and how the project to be funded will benefit the Hive blockchain or ecosystem

The DHF ensures that the consensus behind direct financing of development and other ecosystem-positive projects is controlled by the stakeholders of the Hive ecosystem. Thus, the distribution of the DHF is truly decentralized in principle and practice. A stakeholder's support for a proposal is computed based on the total stake in support of that proposal. A decision and commitment to support a proposal is backed by how much $HIVE a user stakes.

Yesterday, @LeoFinance [announced](https://leofinance.io/@leofinance/proposal-to-grow-the-hive-ecosystem-with-the-everything-app-and-oneclick-onboarding)  its first ever [proposal](https://peakd.com/me/proposals/269) requesting 495 HBD daily over 16 months to fund its 5-tier marketing plan after Four years of self-funding dozens of developments and improvements in the epic [leofinance](https://leofinance.io/) everything app. The  marketing plan is detailed as Collaboration Marketing (Advertisement) - $120, Traditional Marketing - $90, Influencer Marketing - $140, Guerilla Marketing - $70, and Adoption Campaigns - $75.

This is a long overdue proposal considering the levels of work and development at LeoFinance, as well as the thousands of users it is onboarding to Hive and retaining by its evergreen curation and rewards design. Thousands of Hive users are making a living i the LeoFinance community via the several investment options available plus the combines microblogging and long  form blogging rewards at its best.

The proposal which exposes LeoFinance's plan to onboard 10,000 new users to Hive from Twitter via a One-Click Onboarding process promises to grow the Hive ecosystem immensely. The team considers the marketing budget as a "No-Risk Investment" for the Hive Blockchain as it assures a significant growth in the Hive ecosystem. 

> If we achieve our onboarding goals, the Hive ecosystem will grow by at least 88% with an average CAC of $25 USD per user, which is extremely competitive even if we compare it to traditional, established social media platforms... If we don’t achieve our onboarding goals, the Hive ecosystem will still grow by any percentage at a $0 cost, because we will reimburse all of the marketing budget we receive.


A key takeaway for me in the marketing plan is the **Adoption Campaigns**, in this case a retention campaign which has been proven effective during the May's maiden edition  that increased the LeoFinance Monthly Active user (MAUs) by 2.5x in 40 days. Hive users shared from  a whooping prize pool of $10,000 and that was a huge economic booster. Can't wait for the next continuous edition to begin as we see Thousands of web2 users migrate to Hive seamlessly.


The [proposal's](https://peakd.com/me/proposals/269) secured 55% vote value of  13,006,518.187 HP out of the target 23,299,054.003 HP	in just 24 hours shows  the level of trust bequeathed on the Leo Team by hive stakeholders. Without a doubt, the anticipated output on the 5-tier marketing plan of LeoFinance would turn the face of Hive positively and could lead to the long awaited mass adoption to Hive and to the web3 community at large.

A peak into the responses in the comments section of the [proposal update](https://leofinance.io/@leofinance/proposal-to-grow-the-hive-ecosystem-with-the-everything-app-and-oneclick-onboarding) tells how long Hive stakeholders have ben awaiting such a smart BUIDL by LeoFinance that would make it the web3 version of Elon Musk's envisioned "everything app.

I joined other 169 Hive stakeholders to support the Leofinance proposal which would undoubtedly go through. The openness of the team  led by @khaleelkazi and the marketing guru @anomadsoul to the feedbacks of the LeoFInance app users and other hivers is an indication of how well the development of the LeoFinance dapp means for Hive ecosystem in general.
