**Ethylene GlycolDiNitrate** (EHDP). In addition to the strongest explosive properties, this "magic oil" also has pronounced toxic properties. Toxic properties and doses
When the fumes are inhaled, the first symptoms of poisoning appear in a few minutes. There is a feeling of heaviness in the head and a strong headache. Neck and neck muscles are tightened, heart rate is increasing. In general, all this looks rather painful and unpleasant, although it is quite safe. Inhalation poisoning does not lead to any serious consequences.
It is quite another matter to get EHDS inside, with food or drink. Immediately there is a severe headache ("the heart pops out of your ears"), a faint condition and, in a few minutes, death from cardiac arrest.

After ingestion of phosphide, almost immediately vomiting develops by fetid masses. Strong cramping pain in the abdomen. Arterial pressure first rises, and then falls. The affected person has strong salivary and lacrimation. The consciousness is broken, there is drowsiness.
The walk becomes uneven, staggering. There is a shiver in the muscles. Cramps develop and breathing is disturbed. The victim falls into a coma. Death comes from paralysis of breathing and pulmonary edema within 1-2 hours after taking the poison.
