For those of you not familiar with former president and CIA director George H. W. Bush, you may find this post interesting, to say the least. <B> *** <B> Earlier this year, president Trump postponed the release of the long awaited JFK assassination files that were set to become declassified. The day before the documents were set to be disclosed the president decided to keep the files classified until 2021 claiming, once again, to protect national security. Trump's official White House memorandum on April 26th, 2018: <B> >I agree with the Archivist’s recommendation that the continued withholdings are necessary to protect against identifiable harm to national security, law enforcement, or foreign affairs that is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure. I am also ordering agencies to re-review each of those redactions over the next 3 years. At any time during that review period, and no later than the end of that period, agencies shall disclose information that no longer warrants continued withholding. -President Donald J. Trump <B> [Whitehouse.gov](https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/presidential-memorandum-heads-executive-departments-agencies-3/) <B> <B> #### ...to protect against identifiable harm to national security, law enforcement, or foreign affairs... <B> In October 2017, Trump indicated that he would release the JFK files in full which created a buzz of anticipation as the release date approached. It was former US president George H. W. Bush who, in 1992, signed a law that would allow the full disclosure of the complete JFK assassination records after 25 years. Among the 30,000 pages already made public an additional 3,100 files were set to be released posthaste. Of the 30,000 pages already made public many of them are redacted. These files were also set to be fully unredacted when the full records were to be disclosed as of the 25 year deadline. However with Trump extending the deadline to 2021 for national security reasons and with the release of the majority of the JFK files, there are 520 documents that remain withheld from the public and an additional 15,834 documents still redacted in some form or another. It begs the question - <B> ### What are these files hiding after 55 years? ### What could be so damaging to national security that they must be withheld for another 3 years? <B> <B> Many have speculated for decades that the JFK files implicate US law enforcement and the CIA to such an extent that it would severely damage, and likely destroy, the public perception of these agencies and individuals named in the documents potentially tying them to the conspiracy to assassinate a sitting US president. <B> Since the postponement of the JFK files, it has also been suggested that former US president George H. W. Bush is among those whose name appears in the redacted and unreleased documents. <B> *** <B> # George Herbert Walker Bush <B> <center>  </center> <B> Before serving as the 41st president of the United States of America, George H.W. Bush (GHWB)was also the director of the C.I.A. from 1976-1977. George H. W. Bush is also a known member of the secret **Skull and Bones** Society at Yale University. Bush claims that he was not interested in joining the ranks at the CIA and was not thrilled about his appointment to the agency saying that it was a "real shocker". <B> *** ## Was George H.W. Bush in Dallas Texas on November 22nd 1963? <B> In Kitty Kelley's [biography of the Bush family](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Family:_The_Real_Story_of_the_Bush_Dynasty) she writes that George H. W. Bush stated that he 'can't remember' where he was the day Kennedy was shot and murdered in Dallas. If true, this is an unbelievable statement as everybody, or at least every American, knows where they were when they heard the news of JFK's assassination. This is not something that people forget. In this day and age people know exactly where they were and what they were doing on 9/11. People remember where they were the day that John Lennon was shot or when Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas. The JFK assassination cuts deep into the American psyche so it is hard to imagine that a politician, a future president no less, would have no recollection of his whereabouts on this fateful day. The document reads: >The substance of the foregoing information was orally furnished to Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency and Captain William Edwards of the Defense Intelligence Agency. http://www.wnd.com/files/2013/09/JFK-photo-GEORGE-H-W-BUSH-cia-memo-1.jpg <B> <center>  </center> <B> <B> #### The FBI memo clearly shows a one George Bush as a CIA operative or asset. <B> <B> Breaking with standard CIA protocol of "we neither confirm nor deny", the CIA refutes the fact that the George Bush in the memo is George H. W. Bush claiming there was another George W. Bush working for the CIA in Dallas at the time. The agency insists that George H.W. had no prior relationship with the CIA until he became director in 1976. > A report that the vice president George Bush worked for the Central Intelligence Agency in the 1960s as an operative appears to be a case of mistaken identity. >The agency has identified a George William Bush who worked at the CIA headquarters during that period and is apparently the man recently discovered in a FBI memorandum, said CIA representative Sharron Basso. https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP99-01448R000401580062-3.pdf <B> According to the [New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/1988/07/11/us/63-fbi-memo-ties-bush-to-intelligence-agency.html), the former US president denied the memo through his spokesman. <B> The Memo was first reported on in the Nation Magazine by Joseph McBride <B> >The magazine article, written by Joseph McBride, also quoted an unidentified source ''with close connections to the intelligence community'' as saying Mr. Bush ''started working for the agency in 1960 or 1961, using his oil business as a cover for clandestine activities.'' <B> [New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/1988/07/11/us/63-fbi-memo-ties-bush-to-intelligence-agency.html) <B> Both Bush and the CIA deny that he was an operative in the early 1960s and the CIA claims that there was a second George Bush working for them at the time. Former Washington Post reporter and editor of [jfkfacts.org](http://jfkfacts.org), Jefferson Morley, doesn't believes that there's any evidence linking Bush to Dealey plaza or an assassination conspiracy. Entertaining the idea that Bush could have been a CIA operative at the time Morley dismisses the evidence as unsubstantiated. >But the allegation is so weak and defamatory as to qualify as libelous in an ethical, if not a legal, sense. Bush did indeed remember where he was on November 22, 1963. >Bush’s whereabouts on Nov. 22 are known. He was staying in Dallas and flew to Tyler, Texas, for an appearance in his campaign for U.S. Senate. How exactly does that indicate conspiratorial involvement? The man in the photo does resemble GHWB, having a similar hairstyle and body posture. Critics maintain that though the photograph does bear some resemblance to GHWB it hardly qualifies as proof since there's no corroberating evidence. <B> # A Second FBI Memorandum <B> Another government memorandum surfaced in that references George H. W. W. Bush is confirmed to have been in Tyler, Texas a small town about 100 miles east of Dallas on the day of the assassination. Curiously, Bush relays information about a possible assassination attempt on Kennedy in Dallas. Although the tip pointed to a University of Texas student as a possible suspect the tip has little to no value to the investigation at all. So why is this tip preserved? Some suggest that it establishes a detailed alibi for Bush showing on the official record that he was not in Dallas on the day of the assassination. <B> ## George William Bush <B> <center> .png) </center> <B> Determined to prove that GHWB was the same CIA operative named in the FBI memo, Joseph McBride attempted to track down George William Bush. Incredibly, there was indeed another George Bush working at the CIA at the time and not only did McBride track him down, but eventually George William Bush signed the following affidavit in September 1988. <B> In reference to the FBI memorandum that names Mr. George Bush the document states: <B> > I do not recognize the contents of the memorandum as information furnished to me orally or otherwise during the time I was at the CIA. In fact, during my time at the CIA I did not receive any oral communications from any government agency of any nature whatsoever. I did not receive any information relating to the Kennedy assassination during my time at the CIA from the FBI. <B> http://aarclibrary.org/notices/Affidavit_of_George_William_Bush_880921.pdf <B>  <B> #### The affidavit makes it abundantly clear that George William Bush is not the CIA operative mentioned in the FBI memorandum. <B> <B> <B> ## Closure <B> Those that have waited decades to know the truth behind the JFK murders will have to wait until at least 2021. Honestly, it's highly likely that it will be postponed and the American public will once again be shielded from the contents of the archive. George H. W. Bush is still alive but after the passing of Barbara Bush he may not live to see 2021 and the 'release' of the JFK files in their entirety. Personally, I suspect this is one of the reasons why the disclosure has not yet come to pass and they're simply waiting for anyone who's still alive and named in the files to pass away before disclosure can happen. It's rather insulting to the American people to protect them from the truth contained in the JFK files. I'm sure whatever is in the archives the public can handle it. <B> <B> *** <B>  <B>
