The baker argued that keeping his business open seven days a week generated sales that allowed him to arrive until the end of the year. However, in 2017 the permit was not renewed. Even so, Vaivre decided to continue working all week during the summer period. Now, he has received the fine, which the baker considers "too hard" and which he hopes to reduce with the support of his community.

This, according to the TF1 chain, has been dumped with the merchant. "It seems abhorrent to penalize people who make themselves available to people. It's not normal, "one of the neighbors who is collecting signatures of support for Vaivre told the station. The petition to "help our bakery" and to make an amendment to the decree allowing "opening seven days a week during the summer" of the trade, which was launched at the end of February, now has more than 2,300 signatures .

Also the mayor, Christian Branle, considers that it is necessary to have "a little bit of good sense" in this case. "We are a small rural community, where there is not much competition. Let's let people work then when visitors expect this type of service. "
