Stellar is one of the most popular blockchains out there, with a market cap that puts it at the #6 spot on Coinmarketcap. It's a very fast blockchain with small fees, so I guess it's a nice blockchain, even though we are used to quicker and cheaper blockchains here on Steem.

I'm not really familiar with Stellar, so I won't go into much details about the pros and cons of it, so let me get straight to the thing you are all here for; free crypto!

## Hopefully a good airdrop
I have written about airdrops a few times before, with mostly positive response, so I figured it would be worth sharing this one with you guys as well. The Byteball airdrop was very nice, but the AVINOC one didn't really pan out at all, at least not for me. 

Today's airdrop is giving away **Stellar lumens** (XLM) tough, so I'm sure this will be pretty useful for all of us. This crypto won't crash and burn like other airdrops, and if we're lucky the $25 might actually rise a lot in value over time. If you don't think it will hold or increase in value, then at least you got $25 worth of Stellar lumens that can be traded to STEEM and powered up! 

## Get your $25 worth of Stellar lumens
So to get your airdrop, head over to http://blockchain.com and create yourself an online wallet in their website. I'm not personally a huge fan of online wallets like this, so I will move my coins, and I don't encourage anyone to hold significant funds on an online wallet like this one that doesn't even require a decent password. Anyway, you will need an account on blockchain.com to get the airdrop, so you might as well just create one now. 

Once you are logged in to your new account, click on "Stellar - NEW" on the right hand menu, and you will be met with the following interface:

Now click on that big button on this promo page, fill in your e-mail address once again, and you're on the list to get the airdrop. 

I haven't been able to find any real information about when exactly they will send the airdrop to everyone who signed up, but I would guess that they have to spend some time deleting false sign-ups and things like that before giving away $25 worth of Stellar lumens to each account. 

After you get to front of the queue, you apparently need to verify your identify before you get the airdrop, so be prepared that you might need to do that. 

They give away a total of $125,000,000 worth of Stellar lumens on a "first come, first served" basis, so the first 5 million people will get it. I don't expect it to fill up anytime soon, but it might be smart to not procrastinate it for too long.
