So, to preface this poem, I first want to wish my brother and his lovely bride, a very Happy Anniversary. The first dance at their wedding was to “Still the One” by Shania Twain. I hope I am not stepping on any copyright boundaries by titling my poem the same, but I just felt it was the only thing that worked! I hope you enjoy!

To my brother and his bride
I wish you both the best.
May happiness surround you
May you be forever blessed.

United, you became as one
Before your family,
Pledging your unending love
The way it ought to be.

Take this day to cherish
That love for one another
And for the precious little ones
Who call you father and mother.

When circumstances happen
Forcing you to be apart
Remember you’re connected
By matters of the heart.

And on this your anniversary
Know we love you too
That we’re forever grateful
“You’re Still the One” rings true!
