<br> **Prelude** Greeting to all, we are starting a new week and welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. So much to do now on Splinterlands especially with the Frontier format taking up quite a fair bit of time for me to get more foundation cards but we should not neglect the main ranked battles! **Rebellion Core Set Cards** Similar to the previous post for this series, we will begin discussing card from the Rebellion Core Set. Using a similar method when I reviewed the Soul Bound reward cards, I will be discussing about the growth of the cards and will give a simple review to whether or not investing into them will level up your game play or not. And let's continue our review and look at 2 legendary cards from death splinter in today's review. *Demise Archon Faust* The first death splinter legendary card that we will reviewing today will be Demise Archon Faust. An interesting card that packs a load of abilities which I think is a good complement and able to to do good especially with the lookoout and subsequently the life leech. Simple yet effective for this card I would say. The flying that it has from the start helps it to sustain the match. Though I would love if this card has a little more health and it would be perfect, but for something leeching, having too high a health would be unfair to others. For a lineup that need to squeeze in a decent card, this would fit the bill. *Barashkukor* This card, I have faced it quite a number of times previously though recently I see less of it. I would say this is like a dark lord that terrorize many with that whopping 5 magic attack which is scary enough at level 1. And if it hits a taunt card, it is almost an instant death. Love how this card is and after which it even gains weaken that reduces the health of opponent cards and finally at max, this card gains magic reflect to show its prowess to fend off opponent magic attacks. Easily one of the stronger cards in the game just that to call upon this, you will need to set aside 13 mana, so it will be a challenge for small mana matches to use this card. Otherwise, this is a beast and should be used in big mana matches. *Assessment* 2 legendary cards that are being reviewed today of which both are rather decent with Barashkukor showing how strong it can be should you have the mana to call upon it. Demise Archon Faust is also strong with the lookout but will truly come to life when it gains the life leech. Rating wise, Demise Archon Faust would be getting a rating of 3.9/5 from me. Decent stats, nice ability but the only thing will be to push this card to a higher level in order to unlock the life leech so that it can have some form of "healing" by leeching, otherwise decent card for its mana cost. For Barashkukor, this is a 4.2/5 card for sure, the only downside I can think of for this card is really that heavy mana needed to use it which might limit the use of this card or much need to sacrifice in order to slot into a lineup. But if you call this card onto the battle, I am rather certain it will do you proud. My recommendation will be to get Demise Archon Faust to at least level 3 for the life leech and Barashkukor to at least level 2 for weaken but in anycase, level 1 for it is already very scary to handle. **Wrap Up** Rebellion do really have good cards that are available and with Conclave Arcana establishing its foothold, synergies built amongst them will yield loads of advantage in the battlefield. The modern gameplay is evolving constantly with new ways to play considering the bloodline combinations. I like how things are moving through on the set releases and certainly hope to be able to learn more about the cards and better my gameplay on the battlefield. Let's continue to grow and find path in modern as we journey on playing Splinterlands. See you next time!
