You're currious how things look in our 'neighbourhood' ? :) Yesterday I took te car an drove a little to take some pictures. Everytime when I drive home from work or am going shopping I see these great places of which I always want to take a picture but never do. So yesterday I just got in in the car and drove.

When I drove along the IJssel I saw a swan on the nest. It was sleeping (I suppose) to kill some time. It was quite a distance so I couldn't get it more close up on camera. I love to look all the beauty nature has to offer...

The IJssel is a nice river going trough the east of Holland and eventually enter's Germany. It is used to transport a lot of goods across Holland.. But when there is no boat, it is a very nice view..

I went to Bronkhorst, Bronkhorst is the smallest city in the Netherlands. It got the rights for a city in 1442. There only live for about 150 people, it has a church and some shops... It's a very idyllic city. From Bronkhorst you can go by ferry (over the IJssel) to Brummen.

You still can see the old buildings and farming houses.. It's great to see, you feel like a little tourist in your own area :)

These two lovebirds had a great time relaxing in the shadow..

A lot of things are kept in the old fashion state, like this mailbox. I think it is the oldest mailbox around. :)

The Typical old rocks in the street gives it a medieval atmosphere. I love it...

A lot of the older farms have thatched roofs. Especially in summers, when it's hot, it can be quiete risky with fires and stuf. But it looks great.

Strange that there is no-one outside.... Or was it to hot ? :)

The local restaurant wasn't closed. At the back of the building were people dining.

This picture, I think, just screams for a Black and White version :)

The streets are small, and I think I have seen about 5 cars ... No more...

An ancient streetsign.

The sun is just peaking through the tree...

After I left Bronkhorst I drove to Lochem. A town not far from Zutphen. I knew there were some great Oxes, and I really wanted to photograph them . When I arrived I felt a bit sorry for them because it still was very hot and they had a huge jacket full of hair...

A few of them had calves, it was addorable to see..

The big oxes were impressive. Of course one of the reasons is the enormous hairy look, it makes them even bigger. But the seem to be relaxed, although the mothers of the calves constantly kept an close eye on me.

So what do you do when you have a itch.... Right, you use your horns to scratch...
I had a great time, all by myself driving to our beautiful area.... I hope you enjoyed the pictures, I for sure enjoyed making them..
Have a great sunny day !!
---
I fully support @s3rg3 and @exyle, who are witness with their developer group @blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain.
