Safe from a night's sleep
Seeing with satisfaction
That the world is intact in his eyes

Flipping through the morning newspaper
In the hope of finding some remaining interest
And fresh news 
Or TV. While switching on the TV, no one would have guessed that the face that would appear on the screen
the first headline would bind all my breaths together
then the same series of unexpected, unsolicited incidents: countless breaths 

Scattered in the middle of the road, 
the sky crying out, a flood of gunpowder pouring uncontrollably in the air, 
terror spreading far and wide in the frightened settlements
the shrieks of the birds drowned in the bells of the fire engines
the investigators and photographers are wandering in search of sensational news, the security activities making the scene even more grotesque
the double-edged blow of formal sensitivities! 

After every incident,
 I remain immersed in this anguish for a long time 
Could there be any other face in this world beyond the crumbling eyes?
