Gesundheitsstatus: Ok :)

Österreich hat es bis jetzt ganz gut geschafft, durch rasche und sehr restriktive Maßnahmen (Shutdown) und der Konsequenz der Bevölkerung die Ansteckungsrate zu senken und eine Tragödie in den Spitälern wie in Italien oder Wuhan abzuwenden. Vorerst. Dafür muss man der Politik und auch der Bevölkerung danken.

Der Mainstream denkt, die Krise sei in ein-zwei Wochen vorbei, wenn sich alle an die Maßnahmen halten und die Geschäfte wieder aufsperren dürfen. Das Gegenteil ist der Fall. Die Krise fängt erst jetzt richtig an, pessimistische Sicht — optimistische Sicht, die Krise dauert nicht ewig. Keine Krise dauert ewig.

Die Natur ist grausam, das haben viele vergessen. Menschen werden sterben, durch den Virus und/oder die Medizin. Jahrelanger Shutdown.

Ohne Social Media und dem Internet würden wir weiter im Dunkeln tappen, so wie die Politik und viele Entscheidungsträger derzeit auf der Welt, da die Ministerien ausschließlich freiwillig, unwissenschaftlich und unvollständig Daten veröffentlichen. Corona als Amts- und Staatsgeheimnis.

Eines der besten Videos, die ich in den vier Wochen des Shutdowns gesehen habe, ist dieses Update und Comeback von maiLab, mit einer sehr guten und realistischen Einschätzung der derzeitigen Situation und Strategie. Hammer und Tanz. Nicht Elefant und Katze. Vorerst. Corona geht gerade erst los.

Die Krise ist erst dann vorbei, wenn Herdenimmunität auf die ein oder andere Weise eintritt. Grausam, aber wahr. Das heißt, warten in Isolation auf einen Impfstoff und Durchbruch bei der Medikation. Beides möglich, aber nicht 100% sicher. Politik im Blindflug.

Dazwischen probieren, ob man teilweise Restriktionen ein wenig lockern kann. Nicht alle Maßnahmen sind wissenschaftlich notwendig, viele sogar absurd (Sperren der Bundesgärten während Parks offen haben).

Geschäfte werden in Österreich mit Masken hochgefahren. Mutig aber auch riskant. Bin allerdings skeptisch, ob das wirklich gelingen wird. Unternehmen werden wie Dominosteine der Reihe nach fallen und in Konkurs gehen. Mit Maske und ohne Job shoppt es sich nicht so leicht.

Die Natur ist grausam, Beten nutzlos, die Natur kann aber durch den medizinischen und wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt umgestimmt werden (Containment, Medikation und Impfstoff). Hoffentlich. So schnell wie möglich.

ps. habe heute sogar eine Gratis-Maske beim Shoppen bekommen (Interspar). Rewe verrechnet keine Umsatzsteuer auf Masken, 1 Euro pro Maske, billiger als in der Apotheke.

Health status: Ok :)

Austria has so far managed the crises quite well and was successful to reduce the infection rate and avert a tragedy in hospitals like in Italy or Wuhan by rapid and very restrictive measures (shutdown) and the consequence of the population. For now. We must thank the politicians and also the population for that.

The mainstream thinks that the crisis will be over in a week or two if everyone sticks to the measures and stores are finally opened again. However, the opposite is the case. The crisis has barely started, pessimistic view - optimistic view, the crisis won't last forever. No crisis lasts forever.

Nature is cruel, many have forgotten that. People will die, by the virus and/or by medicine. Years of shutdown.

Without social media and the internet we would continue to grope in the dark, just like politicians and many decision makers in the world today, as the administration publishes data exclusively voluntarily, unscientifically and incompletely. Corona as a state secret.

One of the best videos I have seen in the four weeks of the shutdown so far is this update and comeback of maiLab, with a very good and realistic assessment of the current situation and strategy. Hammer and dance. Not elephant and cat. For now. Corona is just getting started.

The crisis is only over when herd immunity occurs in one way or another. Cruel, but true. That means waiting in isolation for a vaccine and a breakthrough in medication. Both possible, but not 100% certain. Politics in blind flight.

In between, figuring out whether we can ease some of the restrictions. Not all measures are scientifically necessary, many are even insane (lockdown of federal gardens while parks are open).

Businesses in Austria are restarted with a mandate to wear masks. Brave but also risky. However, I am skeptical whether this will really succeed. Companies, like dominoes, will fall one after the other and go bankrupt. It is not so easy to shop with a mask and without a job. Law of nature.

Nature is cruel, praying useless, but nature can be softened by medical and scientific progress (containment, medication and vaccine). Hopefully. As fast as possible.

ps. even got a free mask today while shopping (Interspar). Rewe on the other hand does not charge sales tax on masks, 1 euro per simple mask, cheaper than in drugstores. (drugstores are heavily regulated in Austria and quite expensive)
