__If you have been reading me for a while you might have seen that at the moment I consider Dash to be the #1 "Currency" coin in the crypto space. If you ask my definition of a crypto-"Currency" I'd say it simply needs to be like cash but without being physical. Basically a digital form of cash. Before the re-branding it was formerly known as Darkcoin and XCoin. Then the picked the single best name for themselves before anybody. Recently I made the following comment:__

>The bright side is that alt-coins are starting to resist the bear market. during the last few days we had some green coins in the Top 200. It's a good sign. I'd be especially glad if people get more and more into alt-coins making them less correlated with BTC. __Dash is like the Apple Inc of the Blockchain projects. They are the single most professional project I've seen and here is an example from the reddit community:__

-First self funded Treasury
-First functional DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
-Many technical innovations like Masternodes and gravity wave difficulty adjustments, InstantSend, PrivateSend, etc etc etc.
If PIVX becomes a serious competitor, we'll just work that much harder. I welcome the competition.

__Dash is taking the slow and steady path and the only 2 things people can honestly complain about the project is the initial instamine and being a PoW coin. But PoW isn't all bad. Even @dan agrees on his pist [The Benefits of Proof of Work](https://medium.com/@bytemaster/the-benefits-of-proof-of-work-95b9d1ef87fc) Most events that used to accept Bitcoin have dropped BTC in favor of Dash exclusivity. Dash also has fast growing merchant adoption which you can take a look at https://discoverdash.com__

__2018 will be te year of Alt-coins. CNN having a segment about Dash is just a start. From this point it'll be the projects that have partnerships and/or high usability that would rise and rise. Even STEEM which is already processing 22.152 tx/sec at the moment (Source: https://steemdb.com) without even sweating (about 0.14% of current capacity) and Monaco which will soon allow cryptos to be usable just like a VISA debit card would have a great time. ~Good times~ Great times are coming.__
