__I've always considered entertainment as one powerful medium to communicate and spread ideas, philosophy and spirituality. It's the most fun way to lead someone to greater depths of understanding. Today I'm sharing one of those things. I don't know where it was taken from. I'm guessing it is from an Ancient Indian Text. One thing I know for sure is that it is profound.__ >__With fire in Your veins You are the one and only First ray of the morning sun... Your gaze, the ultimate destroyer With no beginning and no end... Indivisible, equal to all Nothing and yet Everything... Shiva is in all of us Eyes closed He watches Time at his command God of Gods... loneliest of them all The Universe, his exhibit Nothing and yet Everything... Shiva is in all of us He is for Ram, as well as Ravan He is for Life, as well as Death He is Chaos and the Order For the ignorant, He is wisdom Beyond pain, above wounds... Courage in battle, Peace at home End of all troubles... The strike of this innocent being is lethal Nothing and yet Everything... Shiva is in all of us__ __Hinduism has a wide array of texts on a wide range of things expressing a wide range of things having a wide range of values. This text I came across tanks to a movie trailer is one of the greatest I've ever come across. Shiva is one of the most important Hindu Gods who has been depicted in various ways in form of a deity, a creator, a destroyer, a transformer of the universe and also as formless, limitless, transcendent and unchanging absolute .__ https://youtu.be/poLjq0u4_5A __The movie itself was made on a tiny budget of 14 million USD and it was a flop. I haven't seen the movie. But the trailers is worth more to me than most movies ever made. If you had trouble wrapping your mind around the above text, look into non-duality. Most non-dualists speak of a oneness which I don't agree with. I'm a Zen/Buddhist non-dualist. I speak of [Dependent Origination.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prat%C4%ABtyasamutp%C4%81da)__ >__Everything is interconnected. Everything affects everything else. Everything that is, is because other things are. What is happening now is part of what happened before, and is part of what will happen next. This is the teaching of Dependent Origination. It may seem confusing at first, but it is an essential teaching of Buddhism. Things are the way they are because they are conditioned by other things. You are conditioned by other people and phenomena. Other people and phenomena are conditioned by you.__ >__Dependent Origination is, of course, related to the doctrine of Anatman. According to this doctrine, there is no "self" in the sense of a permanent, integral, autonomous being within an individual existence. What we think of as our self—our personality and ego—are temporary constructs of the skandhas—form, sensation, perception, mental formations, and consciousness.__ >__So this is what "you" are—an assembly of phenomena that is the basis for the illusion of a permanent "you" separate and distinct from everything else. These phenomena (form, sensation, etc.) were caused to arise and assemble in a certain way because of other phenomena. These same phenomena are perpetually causing other phenomena to arise. Eventually, they will be caused to cease. A very little self-observation can demonstrate the fluid nature of self. The self you are in a workplace, for example, is a very different self than the one that is parent to your children, or the one that socializes with friends, or the one that partners with a spouse.__ >__And the self you are today may well be a different self than the one you are tomorrow, when your mood is different or you find yourself with a headache or have just won the lottery. Indeed, there is no single self to be found anywhere—only various aggregates appearing in the moment and which depend on other phenomena.__ __[Source](https://www.thoughtco.com/dependent-origination-meaning-449723)__ # [Further Reading](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idappaccayat%C4%81) __The Buddha expressed interdependent Co-Arising very simply: "This is, because that is. This is not, because that is not. This comes to be, because that comes to be. This ceases to be, because that ceases to be."__ __You could say I'm a non-dualist but I greatly differ from the traditional non-dualists . You could say I'm a nihilist but I greatly differ from the traditional nihilists. But I also have so much common gound with both parties.__ ### Take Your Time And Give These Things Some Thought.
