The first law of Arthur C. Clarke is: When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.

The second law is: The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

The result of not listing to someone's credentials, even when they are Nobel prizes is something like this:

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QcN3KDexcU"></oembed>

The same story can happen with many things from traveling across galaxies or blockchain taking over many aspects of life.
