Cuenta la historia que su origen viene de los primeros esclavos africanos que laboraban en las plantaciones de ca帽a de az煤car de la Isla de Trinidad y Tobago; una vez separados las familias muchas fueron llevadas a las costas caribe帽as centroamericanas y con estas, llevaron muchas tradiciones nuevas, que m谩s tarde fueron asumidas como formas propias de cultura. La presentaci贸n que hoy comparto con ustedes fue realizada para la Feria de las culturas en Mallorca, en su introducci贸n jugamos a dramatizar la realidad venezolana para finalmente dar paso al rico calipso que bailamos con mucho gusto. </div> <div class="pull-left"> Calypso arrived in Venezuela thanks to migrants; it is a musical genre originating in Trinidad and Tobago. The story goes that its origin comes from the first African slaves who worked in the sugar cane plantations of the island of Trinidad and Tobago; once the families were separated many were taken to the Caribbean coasts of Central America and with them, they brought many new traditions, which were later assumed as their own forms of culture.
