Chinese Internet Cafes hacked with crypto mining malware.
An inside job. The company contracted to service the computers was installing malware that mined the Sia coin. Supposedly many companies were convinced to install it on client computers and they split profits with the programmers. They were discovered when cafe owners noticed computers were slow and had high CPU usage even when supposedly idle. Their power bills also went up substantially.
