### Q1 [January, February, March]

I started the year by recovering from the previous night, maybe someday my years will start differently... Anyway I started a new goal this year to get my boat licence which I ended up completing by the end of march, I did focus a lot of my time to this goal during Q1.

I also started a not so fun task to empty an old barn that my grand father had, this involved a **lots** trip to the skip and to the scrapyard to sell literally tones of metals.

### Q2 [April, May, June]

Completed my Short Range Certificate (SRC) radio exam which was the last major milestone to be able to steer a boat internationally. During this quarter, I taught English to young kids in France for over two months, we were staying at a castle owned by the city, it was a pretty cool experience. 

Also went to an annual boat show for the first time, got to visit a nice ~$400k barge (for the record I didn't buy it😀)
Finished this quarter by visiting the Paris Air Show 2023 (link to the site for next time in 2025 https://www.siae.fr/en/) which is one of the biggest in Europe, I saw a lot of planes including F35 lightning and they make an amazing sound when passing by.

### Q3 [July, August, September]

Officially started my IT Freelance business in Europe, now able to legally bill clients and work for myself. I did follow a course for like 2 months about entrepreneurship before starting in orer to get some ground about all the requirement and to get to know the local environment (could be useful even if my goal in the end is to go full digital).

Not much else going on, I realized I don't even have a good photo to show during this period. I did help some friends to move to another appartement and did a few nights out during this summer but nothing to wild.

In terms of films I bought and watched Tenet on Amazon before going to see Oppenheimer at the cinema which was the latest movie by Christopher Nolan (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Nolan), I really enjoy his movie specially Tenet and interstellar, it makes me think a lot about time and reality.

### Q4 [October, November, December]

I subscribed for the first time to GPT-4/ Open AI premium, my goal is to incorporate it as my personal life assistant and maybe will consider using in my business. Another side project I have is to restore an old shotgun and make it look great again.

Professionally I am a bit behind on my goals and I should focus more on customer acquisition, I am looking to bill hours for an Angular Typescript web projects and maybe start some kind of consulting gig to help people setup on Hive, work in progress.

I spent a lot of time during those months to do some paperwork and clearing things out for my grandfather's restaurant which he can't run anymore, the goal for next year will be to renovate that in order to rent it before the high season in June or just outright sell it.

2023 is coming to an end already, I will be traveling to New York City in December for my last trip of the year, probably going ice skating in Manhattan and sightseeing before going back home for Christmas.

The goal of this post is mostly for my future self to look at whenever I have a case of bad memory down the road or just to reminder what at did during an given year. I think I will keep on going with this type of posts once a year and I am considering writing some for the previous years as well, will see.

It is great to know that this post will stay on this blockchain until all Hive nodes are down which hopefully will never happen. I wish everyone a good last month for 2023.
