Hello Hive Open Mic community, it’s @wealthwess here, excited to sail into Week 293 with all of you. This week’s theme, Opening Seas, inspired me to perform a powerful cover of **Fight Song** by **Rachel Platten**.

I chose Fight Song because it rises with the spirit of breaking barriers and finding your strength again, just like the sea parting to reveal a new path. It’s a song about reclaiming your voice, your courage, your direction even when the waves feel too high and the world seems too loud. Fight Song reminds us that sometimes all we need is one spark of belief to open the vast ocean before us.

The theme Opening Seas is about stepping boldly into the unknown, trusting that the waters will make way as long as we keep moving. And that’s exactly what this song embodies, resilience, renewal, and the quiet certainty that your light still matters. It’s a declaration that no tide can drown your purpose.

For my entry this week, I poured that ocean opening energy into every line of Fight Song. I hope you can feel the rise, the courage, and the freedom carried in the melody, the same feeling of standing at the shore and watching the sea unfold a new journey.
