0.000 HBDA small card, with big responsibility... This week's SHARE YOUR BATTLE - Armorsmith

The curation team over at @splinterlands brings you this week's [SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE](https://hive.blog/splinterlands/@splinterlands/share-your-battle-weekly-challenge-win-armorsmith#)... Every week the team asks us to share with you and them a #splinterlands battle we've been involved in, where we have used a certain monster, specific battle rule or theme. This week the delightful and dedicated @carrieallen has set us the challenge to use the LIFE splinters shield builder, the **armorsmith**:

Specifically designed for defence rather than attack, the armorsmith can either be a complete game changer, and won you the battle, or be a total waste of mana..... So deciding the best scenario to use him can be tricky.

Being splinter specific, having the option to play the **life splinter** is the first hurdle to cross. I usually like to play him when either "no magic" attacks are in play, when the battle rules include melee monsters only OR when magic attacks hit shields first. And to totally contradict my words above, I found myself using him in the battle bekow:
Watch this battle [HERE](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=f5549e8e9e90a189a066e1ab07d89aba74f41075&ref=Welshstacker)
Whenever I see the battle rule "target practice", I always try and get my Lord A into the second position, and if possible follow him up with a monster that has reflect. The battle manna allowed me to get my lvl 5 prismatic energy slotted in, which have me double reflect, and took out @kittenz heavy hitting magic attackers. We both decided to use our chain golems in the tank position, but thankfully for me, my armorsmith was able to continually regenerate its armour. This meant that @kittenz own chain golem was never really able to break my tanks defence.

So, yeah, this probably wasn't the best situation to use my armorsmith, but he did his job and kept my tank unbeaten. Would you have altered the layout of my deck, or possi le swapped out any monsters completely? Please leave your comments below as they really do help my improve as a player.
