It's been a bad week in crypto. Well to be more specific it's been a bad week in the world. Markets have been tanking across the board and you are seeing one day loses in the stock market that were unheard of. Unfortunately bitcoin and crpyto have not been a safe haven in these times either and once we broke that 6k zone we tanked down to 3.8k very quickly. We are back to 5k currently but with so much uncertainty in the world this might only be a breather before we tank back down to lowers lows. Yes it sucks. I'm tired of watching steem plummet over and over as we struggle to even make it to a dollar and who knows what is happening with this stale-make with Justin. The only good thing coming from it is the exposure to steem and the arms race of steem powering up that seems to be helping the price. But still no Lambos for anyone and we are still lacking that value in crypto we need to get the masses onboarding. However there is some hopium. This drop was scary as it dropped us below 6k and it didn't help with the argument that bitcoin was designed for scenarios like this when the market is collapsing. But that might only be temporary. It turns out EVERYTHING was getting hit in this panic selling and that includes the most stable asset gold. Gold went from 17,000 to about 15,200 last week. That is a 10% drop for a commodity that is supposed to be the go to in times of panic. Sure bitcoin went down a lot more but as it is more volatile, it really isn't that crazy of a drop. From what I read, it turns out in times of sheer panic, assets like gold (and we hope bitcoin) tend to do better after the crash and not during. Nothing was safe in this market. And the bleeding might not be done so we could see a lot more loses with crypto and gold. But the point is this doesn't mean we down and out. I'm not given anyone financial advice and to be frank unless there is some crazy crash where a crypto coin that pays divs is insanely cheap, I'm done investing in crypto and spending less time looking for dapps. I'm hodling while I wait for the entire market to get into a better position. However I will be keeping an eye on the market as we head into the halving and the dust settles to see if we can climb fast like an asset like bitcoin should in these conditions. Time will tell, but I'm still hopeful. .jpg) Posted via Steemleo
