When it comes to flagging I think we need to be careful not to create a system that punishes those who do bad but rewards those who do good. There is a big distinction and it will lead to a better user experience and a higher adoption rate of users. We need to create a system of positive reinforcement so people will be happy to post on here. When you have a negative system it leads to feelings of stress and unease and as steemit is a fun site that pays, not a job, we need to strive for the former. People should be encouraged to post great content because of the rewards not because if they do not they will take flak for it. It is alienating. Nobody wants to be flagged. I 100% agree with plagiarism and scams. I flagged a post that was trying to phish for people's account info. But beyond that I think we need to be careful. Some people think content length matters and others don't. Personally I think smaller posts are usually of higher quality, as is the general rule of writing in general. Brevity. It is the same with bots. You can fully disagree with bots but it is allowed in the system so why punish those who use them? The reason I am writing this is to stress we need to avoid a site where people are put in a position where they have to post the bare minimum so they avoid a flag as they will only post the bare minimum. There will be no motivation to strive or grow. Not everyone is a writer or wants to grind on a site that isn't rewarding them. And it is not healthy for the site. It will lead to people feeling they have to post a certain way and then get frustrated when they are disagreed with because they are only posting in this manner to appease others. You should work hard and improve yourself everyday but we need to create an environment that fosters quality and growth not one that feels like a 9-5 job.
