Woot. Steemit is currently the number 5,080th site in the world. By the end of this week, possibly the next couple of days, we will be In the top 5,000 sites. We have also toped the top 1,000 sites in South Korea. There is a long way to go before we have global footing and we should, in no way, think that we have, yet, 'made it'. But we are growing at a great speed. The last post I did to update this site was only about a month ago when we were about to move passed the 6,000 mark. One month and we passed 1,000 sites. If this continues (which I am sure it can't as it gets harder to get higher the more you move up the list), we would be in the top 1,000 by the end of the year. Then steemit will be a force to be recon with.

If we can make it big there will be new problems that await us. The site will need to work better for multiple languages and be easier for people who speak one language to see the content that is relevant to them. We will also need to work on filtration. That is, and will continue to be, one of the biggest problems that this site will face. It is a problem that every site faces and we need to find ways to get content out there so people can see it. A one feed system moves content down the list too fast and this will really be felt when we hit the millions of user mark. But we can find ways to fix it :)
