There is a new sonic game titled Sonic Mania. Now if you have been playing sonic over the years you will know there hasn't been a lot of good sonic games especially when you compare them to the classics. But according to reviews, this one is actually good. Really good. At least good enough to have the feel of the original three. The reviewers talk about the remix of old stages that make them similar but still different. 

I remember playing the first sonic in a hotel room in buffalo. The game really stood apart from Mario and although it might not have been better it was an experience that stood on its own. There was a reason the console war was a thing and these two mascots were both properly represented. Who here has played sonic 3 and remembers the snowboarding level? Not only was it a fun platformer but had fun hidden bonus levels to get gems if you wanted the real ending. I wondered why they never tried the level select that Mario world had though? Anyways it is good to see he might be back in a good game.

If you are a sonic fan and have a modern system, this might be for you.
