How awesome is this. First of all I just heard they are making a Sonic movie. And on top of that I heard Jim Carrey will be in it. I do not know what to say... Jim Carrey is a good actor with the right role and I am not sure what kind of character the big screen version of Dr. Robotnik will be but it will be interesting to see. If you are wondering the same thing I was the film will be a mix of CGI and live action. But from what I remember of sonic the dr. is the only human character in the game so it will be much more CGI.

It looks like gaming movies are still trying to be successful. It makes sense, look how well comic book movies did. But gaming has yet to get there. There are some solid stories out there like Silent Hill 2 that could deliver a great film but there has yet to be a spider-man 2 yet.  I do not know if Sonic will be the one but it will be cool to see the speedy hedgehog in the theater.

There is also a Mario movie and Halo show in the works if you have not read my other posts. Is it only a matter of time before we get a blockbuster.
