Many people are surprised that XRP is in second place in terms of total capitalization, but previous years show that XRP is where it should be and at least where it has always been.

Yes it was on 2nd place also at the end of 2013. From top 10 only LTC BTC and XRP are still in the top 10 at the end of the 2017.

At the end of 2014 XRP was still at the 2nd place. Now new coin from 2014 top 10 is near their past positions except LTC BTC and XRP.
# 2015

We can say that 2015 was a breakthrough. Ethereum came up, XRP still a 2nd place!
# 2016

2016 was the most important year for us! STEEM and STEEMIT was created. At the end od 2016 was at 10th place in total market capitalization. I think its place is in the top 10 and we will see it there in upcoming 2018. Ooops XRP at 4th place.

That was crazy year. Many ICOs not only on Ethereum but also on NEO. China banned cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin hardforks.

# 2018
I wish that in 2018 STEEM will be in top 10. Also i think that 2017 was just the begining and next year will be even better for the cryptocurrency market and its early adopters - us. Happy 2018 :)
