 Hello, warm greetings to all friends. Welcome back to my new post. Yesterday I told you how to make a cute Origami Envelope. These days, we have a festival to welcome Myanmar new year in our country. So these days I think I'm just going to talk about the water festival and the snack. Today marks the start of that water festival. So today I am going to talk about Thingyan flower pot that a symbol of Thingyan.  Every country has its own customs, doesn't it? Today is the first day in Myanmar to welcome the new year next year. Normally, in our country, water festival is celebrated at this time, but this year, the festival is not celebrated because of coups in our country. Today, however, a Thingyan symbol is make in every home. Myanmar believe that on the first day of the water festival, Indra descended from heaven to earth. So today, to welcome Indra, Thingyan flower pots are placed in front of almost every burmese people house.   First, let me tell you about a pot I used at this time. Most people use a clay pot made of clay to welcome Indra. I have seen a few people use gold pot, silver pot. The center of these clay pots are decorated with curved lines, and some even have flower paintings.  Clay pots are always seen in the market on festival days. The picture above shows me taking clay pots while I was shopping today. The pots I made at that shop were very simple. These clay pots are usually cheaper, but these day they are a little more expensive.     The bouquet shown above is a bouquet used to welcome Indra. The bouquet contains the leaves of many species of plants. The bouquet includes rose, coconut leaf, jujube leaves, eugenia leaves, Ceylon ironwood leaves, guava leaves. There are other leaves as well, but I do not know the English name of those leaves. The bouquet even contains grass. Even the guava leaf in this bouquet has buds.  The flower shown in the picture above is called Shan Thingyan flower in the state where I live. On the first day of the water festival, the Shan people go to the forest to cut the flower in groups. I do not know what to call this flower in English.   Before using a pot made of clay, it should be soaked in water or washed with plenty of water. This is because these clay pots can absorb water.   The bouquet I mentioned earlier had to be kept in front of the house in a clay pot for four days, so I thoroughly washed it with water.    The stems of the flowers in the bouquet my mother bought were so long that I cut as many as I wanted and decorated them all in a clay pot.     This flower pot is also decorated with the pieces of paper shown above. Umbrellas are made of colored paper, gold and silver, and flags are included. I also decorated all of them in a clay pot.
