Finally decided to dive in. Um...feet first.

I haven't really been very available as of late. It's been a bit busy around here with our photography business, and about to get a lot busier as the warm seasons approach. In the meantime, however, I've decided to dive deeper into crypto and started up a small portfolio.

I'm starting light and working my way up. I decided to throw some Steem at a few coins and see what happens. My portfolio now includes BTC, ETH, Dash, and ZCash all with an evenly split investment, and then of course Steem.

The last 48 hours since I decided to pull the trigger on this little endeavor has been interesting and I'm already looking forward to buying more. I'm learning but there's a LOT I still need to learn, and I really need to get caught up on the jargon.

My first goal seems pretty easy in my (inexperienced) mind, which is to turn $100 into $1,000. Then, if possible, to turn that into $2,000 and so on. Might be wishful thinking, but with as little as I'm starting off with, the gains and losses I expect to experience are all just going to be part of this journey. After all, the seed money I'm putting into it isn't coming from my primary source of income, so I won't really consider any loss to be *real* losses. At most, if I lose everything, I've lost $100. That's not bad, I can take that.
I'll come back and see what I have to say after watching gains of $10,000 disappear.

So what about you? What kind of portfolio do you have? Any tips or tricks you can give a newb like myself?
Any news coming up for any particular coins that I should be looking at? I know the Bitcoin ETF has been hot lately, and I'm looking more into that. What about other coins? Any suggestions on what to buy? My mind is a sponge for this stuff right now.
