Diablo Resurrected Ladder Has Started
Since the release in September 2021, Diablo 2: Resurrected fans have been waiting for a very special feature: the ladder.
So far, there hasn't been a ranked season in the remake of the action RPG classic.
But that's changing now, because the starting signal for the ladder was given on the night of April 29th.

Like in (old) Diablo 2, there will be four different ranked modes in Diablo 2: Resurrected. These break down as follows:

- Classic Ladder: The classic version of the ladder with four acts.
- Classic Hardcore Ladder: The hardcore version of the four-act ladder where you only have 1 life.
- Expansion Ladder: The classic five-act ladder, as it implements the content from Lord of Destruction.
- Hardcore Ladder Expansion: The hardcore 5-act version of the Ladder Expansion, where again you only have 1 life.

If you want to participate in the ladder, you should note that you have to create a new character for the season.
During this time, this only remains playable in the ladder.
After the end of the season your Ladder character will become an unranked character while keeping their gear and other items.

Players of current Diablo 3 are probably familiar with the ladder system.

I already planned my build for my paladin and wait for my wife to join our ladder journey.

<h3>Huge Patch 2.4 also Live</h3>

Patch 2.4 not only brings the ladder to Diablo 2: Resurrected, but also includes a lot of balance changes - **the first since 2010**!
Almost all classes are affected, with the developers emphasizing that they should lead to more variety and not restrict current builds.

The changes are quite extensive and a detailed discussion would go beyond the scope of this post.
In addition to the individual class changes, there are also new runewords for the ladder, fresh recipes for the Horadric Cube, some bug fixes, and much more.

The complete patch notes can be found <a href="https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo2/23788293/diablo-ii-resurrected-patch-2-4-ladder-now-live">here</a>

If you want to compete with the best, well... you'd better hurry up, the first already hit level 90 ;)

What about you?
Is Diablo 2: Resurrected even on your "to-play-list" or is it too old school for you?
