Do you have any dreams that can be considered ambitious? Perhaps to know all the countries in the world?

This is a very inspiring story (especially if you have a traveling soul).

For a brief moment imagine yourself blind, practically deaf and... Traveling alone in order to explore the world. Impossible? Not for the british Tony Giles, someone who evidences the difference that exists between tourists and citizens of the world.

In the 2000s he found himself completely addicted to traveling after an exchange in the United States (and after that he didn't stop).

Giles (39 years old), already marks 124 countries on his list and within his list of activities, are parachute jumps in Australia and hang gliding in Brazil.

Having only 20% of his hearing and being completely blind (something stemming from genetic problems), Giles says:

"I travel alone because it's the biggest challenge I can face."

Problmes along the way.

In 2002, Giles was diagnosed with a kidney problem (which was only resolved with a kidney transplant in 2008). Because of this problem, he decided to stop drinking (being about to become an alcoholic).

In the midst of his travels, he certainly finds many difficulties, but he couns with the help of strangers to be able to do some things, showing that there are still good people anywhere in the world.

Overcoming more challenges.

Amid health problems and travels, Giles still found time to graduate in American History with a master's degree in Transatlantic Studies.

In 2010, he released the book "Seeing the World My Way", in which he recounts his travels around the world.

In his opinion, traveling means using all the senses of the body and the sense of discovery and freedom are among the greatest advantages of being an independente traveler.

What are you waiting for? ;)
