The power situation has been terrible in the last few days and we went from almost 24 hours of power supply down to less than 12 hours and down to less than 6 hours. Now we're down to zero hours. No power means no wifi because the router battery is very shitty.

Using mobile data is a waste of money because it never lasts. I had to subscribe the pocket mifi yesterday because the battery life is actually incredibly long. I did that and was satisfied with my data back-up, at least I would be able to use the internet even if there was no power.

My devices were down but there was a back-up - the generator. It was time to use the generator late in the evening and it refused to come on. I just laughed because I had so much faith that I was set for the night even if there was no power. Who would have thought that the generator would fail?

My phone was on red and the mifi also went off. The whole house was dark too so it was very annoying. I still had some juice left in my laptop and could have plugged the mifi to charge and use but I decided to wait till this morning to do that.

It's morning now and I'm using the mifi plugged to my laptop. The laptop is about to die any moment from now but at least I might be able to hit publish before it does. I've also checked my mails and messages, and engaged a bit on hive too. Let's see how the day goes. Hopefully, I can get my back-ups to work.

Can one ever really adapt to this kind of life though?
