The Most Cringe Movie Ever
Rebel Wilson stars in this American comedy about a teenager who falls into a coma for 20 years after an accident and then wakes up to continue her senior year at highschool. The premise sounds like a fun one and you'd expect a freaky Friday situation but that's not what this is.

She plays 37-year-old Stephanie Conway who is originally from Australia (convenient because Rebel Wilson is Australian). Stephanie wakes up in the hospital to find that she is now 37 years old. The last thing she remembers is being 17 and having dreams of winning prom queen.

I found it weird how she reacted to being older all of a sudden, she didn't really freak out and she quickly adjusted to her new reality. She was all over the place and was nothing like the teenage Stephanie even when they tried to make it seem like she was still her 17-year-old self.

It didn't make sense that the first thing Stephanie would want to do is go back to high school and compete for prom queen with the current students. There was no trying to get to know her dad and her friends better or filling in on the parts of life she missed with them. It was straight to high school and cheer leading again.

The plot is just poor, the acting subpar, and Rebel completely off. I do like Rebel Wilson and all her quirkiness, she makes movies fun. This, however, was terrible acting and she dished out very dry jokes like she's Amy Schumer.

I was cringing so hard and feeling second-hand embarrassment while watching. All I wanted was for it all to end. It would have been better if it was a cliché freaky Friday movie because that never gets tiring.

This different take turned out to be horrible. I didn't laugh at all and was annoyed instead at how dry this turned out to be. The fact that I had high expectations of peeing in my pants and not even getting as little as a smirk was really annoying.

This is the worst movie I've seen all year and it was a waste of my time. If I didn't have a quirk of finishing what I start, I would have stopped watching right from the moment Stephanie woke up from the coma.

It's a 2/10 for me and I'm so disappointed. It would take at least three good movies back to back for me to like Rebel's acting again.

I do not recommend you watch this if you don't want to waste your time or throw your slipper at your screen. But if you won't listen, you can watch it on Netflix. Seriously, don't bother.

If you've seen it what do you think about it? Did you also hate it or are you weird?
