### What you don't know Of course yes, It might be hard for some to believe I’m a farm kid. Maybe I might not fit to any stereotype of a real farm kid, or someone who grew up farming, but certainly with no denials I am a farmer’s son, who is incontrovertibly very attached to the land. [source](http://globalfarmernetwork.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Musi-in-field-1024x544.jpg) When I was younger, I always involved myself in my dad’s subsistence farming activities, I even had to farm in my school uniform, though it was occasionally but I enjoyed spending my time weeding, watering and applying manure to his crops. My dad has always lectured me on how he compares his farming activities to real life activities, he had demonstrated the importance of working hard if success was my goal, I knew right through him that sometimes I have to work 24/7 and take difficult tasks that I do not enjoy doing if I wanted to succeed in life. ### A farmer's complaints My dad had always complained about lack of good seeds, fertilizer and farm implements, that the government does not support even as much as they plead for the government yearly to come to their aid. He sows his crops sometimes without fertilizer, and the inadequate seed due to low yield of crops from the previous year had made him sell his ruminants to buy more, this was bad to his farm business. >Before the fruits of prosperity can come, the storms of life need to bring the required rains of testing which mixes with the seeds of wisdom to produce a mature harvest. ### A farmer's joy This year seems to have been fruitful for him, the house was filled with his produce and crops harvested from the farm. I have noticed a freaky smile on his face anytime he looks at the produce. I am happy this year turned better. >Well, what would you tell a farmer who had an over-abundant harvest? To plant less, of course not. i am not complaining about the frequency of the planting, I would just rather not reap a crop every year. Now let me walk you through his year produce ### Ginger This was his first time of planting ginger, but he was amazed with the profit he made from harvesting this spice or herbal crop. He harvested about 55 bags and is planning to store them for the long run. This is a very good number for him, since he had not plans of going into the crop again. This year he harvested 5000 plus of it. ### His Blockchain Contribution. After explaining the steemit blockchain to him few days ago, my dad is eager to get an account. He has explained farming to me as his hobby and would want to inspire farmers on how to do it themselves without help from people. he wants to present a step by step instructions and different tips and tricks to maintain a flourishing farm. This will also lecture those who are not farmers by day to raise their own livestock, plant their various fruit and vegetables and have their own country side dreams. Y'all expect my dad on steemit very soon.
