<div class=text-justify> https://pixabay.com/photos/tarot-magic-fortune-to-come-up-4579146/ We live in a society that increasingly relies on what is measurable or can be assigned a value... And often that value has been assigned by other people, or groups, and we end up accepting it as the true value, or the most correct or the closest to reality. But is that really the case? Nowadays, we have a society that craves more and more data about consequences. The magic of trying something out, or trying to do something different, ends up being exhausted and destroyed when we look at what we believe to be the possible outcome. > And why are we like that? Simply because none of us likes to “lose”. Our brains have engraved in their deepest part a fundamental rule: “Survive!”. > And how is this related? Well, since ancient times, the simple fact of having to hunt in order to survive has made things much more difficult. We didn't want to increase the possibility of not being able to hunt anything in one outing, let alone being injured or even killed in the same hunt. We've learned to wait for the perfect moment, or the moment when the conditions are right for us to get the best results with the least amount of effort. For this simple but very intricate reason, we end up being almost “forced” to go by car instead of going to a destination that is perfectly within our reach on foot... That's why, when we're offered a solution that aims to use fewer resources and take less effort, we go for it! I grew up watching TV commercials that promised, and still promise today, an easier life, with fewer complications. With less need to clean, less need to program... Every day we're driven to consume and buy something, not because we need it, but because we're sold the idea that if we consume it, we'll be closer to our happiness (and it turns out to be true, because we end up using less energy, and we secure more resources for later use). > But here lies the real chance! We have to do things differently. We can't just think about the immediate. Our “nature” asks us to conserve energy, not to take too many risks... But the difficulties we faced hundreds of years ago fortunately don't exist today. We must change our predictability. The best indicator of how we will act in the future is to look at the actions of the past. Just this week we have seen, in diplomatic meetings at the highest level, what appears to us to be completely erratic and even lunatic behavior from a president. But is he really that unpredictable? Perhaps, if we look at past events, it turns out not to be so much. Let's stop looking outside so much and try to avoid the fear of failure. If you go out one day and can't hunt... Don't worry... We have a full pantry that will ensure our survival. Let's stop looking at the indicators that enter us every day from practically every avenue, and let's know how to determine the actions that can make a difference. Let's use our time more seriously towards ourselves. And let's not get caught up in the hamster wheel that society and our “ancestral brains” want us to follow. _Our destiny is not set in stone. Take a chance_ ##### Cheers🍀 </div> --- Free image from [Pixabay.com](https://pixabay.com/) </div>
