I was thinking about making a post about this myself, but as you can probably tell from my blog I never seem to end up getting the time to write a whole post. So I guess I should thank you for doing it for me!

Yes and no. I've always considered the @steemmonsters account part of my contribution to the ecosystem, but I figured it was about time to beef up my personal account now too.

I'm pretty sure that's what I did...or maybe a bit more than the current price, and then I went to bed and the next day it was filled. Either way, I don't usually fuss around with trying to get the best price but I know enough not to place market orders.

I also had a "nothing-status" in 2017, and I remember how big a deal it was to get a whale upvote. Hopefully I can pay it forward now.

You can tell I kept powering up smaller and smaller amounts until I hit it because I was too lazy to look up the current `hive_per_mvests` value and do the math.

I'm super bullish on HIVE right now just simply because of all the stuff we're planning to do with Splinterlands. There's going to be some big stuff coming down the pike that should hopefully get some serious attention in the space and it's all going to be on Hive. And it's not just because that's what we're experienced and familiar with - but because I've recently come to realize that it's the only platform out there that will allow us to build the products and experiences that we're going for, which is crazy considering how many other blockchain platforms there are out there these days.

This is one of those topics I would love to write a post about but realistically probably won't get to it. It's taken me 30 minutes already just to write this comment!
