**“Engraved Shadows”**
Mixed media,14x18cm,2023


I was supposed to be interested in shadows, but I had forgotten about them for a while. Finally, I was able to draw them. It could be the contrast between light and shadow, or the projection of the shape of a person or object. In this painting, I imagined shadows that were so hot that they were squishy, deformed, and intertwined with each other.

影というものに興味があるはずだったのですが、しばらく忘れていました。そしてやっと描けました。光と影の対比だったり、人や物の形の投影だったり。この絵では、暑さのあまりぐにゃりと変形し、絡み合う影を想像して描きました。
