Today I learned about the temperature scale of Celsius. In 1742, Andres Celsius introduced a temperature scale that was the opposite of the current temperature, at 0 degrees the boiling temperature of the water, while 100 degrees was the temperature at which the water freezes. A few years later, other scientists turned the ladder into its current form.
