<div class="text-justify"> Life is full of recreational moments and opportunities. On many occasions human beings take advantage of these moments and other times we do not. The game of chance represents a space to be distracted, in Venezuela this type of luck is seen a lot, especially in homes, bars, corners and spaces prepared for such purposes. Among those that stand out are: bingo, lottery, dominoes, cards, and its derivatives such as truco, canasta and ronda, are the ones that stand out the most. <center>  </center> There is a game of chance called lottery, which is the one I want to refer to and explain, as it is the one shown in the photographs. This type of activity is carried out in the homes of neighbors as a pastime and entertainment or recreation, also on a large scale in places set up as clubs. It has become very popular among the Venezuelan population. In Cumaná it is used to collect funds to support sick people or families with economic difficulties. This game consists of wooden cardboards organized and designed with figures in squares, which can be of various categories, there are eight squares, sixteen squares and others according to the convenience of the player. These squares have a figure that can be a fruit, object, animal, tree or some instrument or tool, that is to say, there is no limit. <center>  </center> There are also some tokens, which can be a soda plate with drawings of the aforementioned figures or a circular piece of wood of approximately three centimeters in diameter. These figures must be placed in a cloth bag of four hundred square centimeters, this size depends on the amount of chips. To start the lottery, the contestants must have the cards previously purchased, and in many occasions there is no limit to the number of cards per participant. <center>  </center> After the contestants are located in their selected seats, with their tickets, the lottery event is announced, not before explaining how the lottery will be drawn and how the winner will get it. They also explain to everyone about the conditions of not drawing a lottery on time. The person who calls out the chips tells the person who has the bag of chips to show his hands, count the chips, and if anyone doubts the condition, he can ask to check the bag of chips or check the veracity of the chips. Given the approval of the majority of the competitors, the game starts. It is a duty of the organizer to say the prizes to be awarded and the ways to win, also if the same is to support someone must also notify it. Each time a card is announced, the contestant makes his or her notes on the cards mentioned in the game. En muchas ocasiones los seres humanos aprovechamos estos instantes y otras veces no. El juego de envite y azar representa un espacio para distraerse, en Venezuela ese tipo de suerte se ve mucho, sobretodo en hogares, bares, esquinas y espacios preparados para tales fines. Entre los que se destacan están: bingo, lotería, dominó, cartas, y sus derivados como truco, canasta y ronda, son los que más resaltan. <center>  </center> Existe un juego de envite y azar que se denomina lotería, y es al que me quiero referir y explicar, por cuanto es el que se aprecia en las fotografías. Este tipo de actividades se realiza en casas de los vecinos como pasatiempo y entretenimiento o esparcimiento, también a gran escala en sitios acondicionados como clubes. Se ha hecho muy popular entre la población de Venezuela. En Cumaná lo realizan para recoger fondos para apoyar a enfermos o familias con dificultades económicas. Dicho juego consiste en cartones de madera organizados y diseñados con figuras en recuadros, que pueden ser de varias categorías, existen de ocho cuadros, de dieciséis y otros según la conveniencia de quién lo hace. Dichos recuadros tienen una figura que puede ser una fruta, objeto, animal, árbol o algún instrumento o herramienta, es decir, en eso no hay límite. <center>  </center> También existen unas fichas, que puede se una chapa de refresco con unos dibujos de las figuras antes mencionadas o un pedazo de madera circular de tres centímetros de diámetro aproximadamente. Estas figuras deben estar depositadas en una bolsa de tela de cuatrocientos centímetros cuadrados, dicho tamaño depende de la cantidad de fichas. Para iniciar la lotería los concursantes deben tener los cartones previamente comprados, que en muchas ocasiones no se le pone límite al número de los mismos por participante. <center>  </center> Luego que los concursantes están ubicados en sus asientos seleccionados, con sus cartones, se anuncia el inicio del evento lotería, no sin antes explicar la manera cómo será cantada la lotería y la forma que el ganador la va a conseguir. También le explican a todos sobre las condiciones de no cantar una lotería a tiempo. El que canta o dice las fichas le indica a la persona que tiene la bolsa con las mismas que muestre las manos, cuente las fichas, si alguien duda de tal condición puede solicitar la revisión de la bolsa de la fichas o constatar la veracidad correspondiente. Dado el visto bueno por la mayoría de los competidores arranca el juego. Es un deber del organizador decir los premios que se otorgarán y las formas de ganar, ademas si la misma es para dar apoyo a alguien también debe notificarlo. Cada vez que se anuncia una ficha el concursante realiza sus anotaciones en los cartones mencionados al cumplir con lo planteado (cartón lleno) o acordado por el organizador el concursante grita: lotería. <center>  </center> Y los organizadores verifican si tal actuación es correcta verificado si la misma cumple con los requisitos, delante de testigos, evitando malos entendidos. Al cerciorarse de que la lotería es real se le llama y se entrega el premio. De lo contrario se reinicia la lotería dándole continuidad con las fichas que ya habían salido. Este día la pasamos muy bien, entre amigos y vecinos del barrio.
